Combine a study in law with a study in education with the Vanderbilt J.D. and a Master’s in Education Policy (M.P.P.) from Peabody College.
Students accepted at both schools can earn both degrees in 4 years. The JD/M.P.P. is a multidisciplinary program that provides you with a scholarly and applied understanding of the public policy process as it relates to education. The coursework serves as preparation for careers in policy analysis and public service leadership for governmental and/or private institutions.
Peabody's M.P.P. degree program follows a cohort-based model that enables you to share a common interest in education policy and form strong connections with fellow students. It is unique in its policy focus specifically on education, but the degree (compared to the M.Ed. degree) signals analytical and policy-analysis skills that are in high demand on the job market. An M.P.P. carries a high value within organizations that are thinking about large-scale changes.
