Benjamin K. Raybin, an associate at Raybin & Weissman in Nashville, and Jeffrey L. Levy, formerly family law practitioner in Nashville, have both received the Justice Joseph W. Henry Memorial Award for Oustanding Legal Writing from the Tennessee Bar Association.
Levy’s article, published in the May 2016 Tennessee Bar Journal, was a point/counterpoint article addressing “How to Balance the Best Interests of Children and Doctor-Patient Privilege.” Raybin’s article, “Pardon Me: How Executive Clemency Works in Tennessee (and How It Doesn’t),” was published in the journal’s August edition.
Levy is in the process of retiring from his Nashville-based family law practice and has moved to South Carolina. Raybin joined Raybin & Weissman, where he practices criminal defense law, after graduating from law school, where he was an articles editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review. He was a law clerk for Judges Jane B. Stranch and Gilbert S. Merritt Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in 2011-12. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Chicago.
