Justin Ishbia ’04 has been elected to the Vanderbilt University Board of Trust. Ishbia is founder and managing partner of Shore Capital, a Chicago-based private equity firm.
Ishbia currently serves on the Vanderbilt Law School Board of Advisors. He earned his law degree and certificate in law and business at the law school after earning his undergraduate degree at Michigan State University. In 2015, he established the Justin R. Ishbia Scholarship to provide financial support for deserving law students. He has been a guest lecturer at the Owen Graduate School of Management and recently delivered the opening keynote address at the Vanderbilt Entrepreneurship Conference. Ishbia is one of seven new board members whose election was announced May 7.

Vanderbilt Board of Trust names seven new members
Two VLS alumni currently serving on the board—Kathleen Justice-Moore and Adolpho A. Birch III, both Class of 1991—were elected to second terms on the board. Birch was also elected to a second three-year term as secretary.
Justice-Moore is a trustee of the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, which grants awards to support environmental conservation, scientific research, patient care and the San Francisco Bay area. She lives in Incline Village, Nevada.
Birch is senior vice president of business affairs and chief legal officer for the Tennessee Titans. He lives in Nashville.
