Law and Economics student, Elissa Philip Gentry, recently published two articles on the value of statistical life. “The Value of a Statistical Life for Transportation Regulations: A Test of the Benefits Transfer Methodology” was published in the August 2015 issue of the Journal of Risk and Uncertainty. Her March 2016 article, “The Fatality and Morbidity Components of the Value of Statistical Life,” appears in the Journal of Health Economics. Both articles were co-authored with Professor W. Kip Viscusi who is the chair of Gentry’s dissertation committee.
