59 students awarded summer stipends to work in public interest & government positions

Fifty-nine Vanderbilt Law students received summer stipends to support their work in positions with government agencies, the chambers of federal, state and local judges, federal and state District Attorneys and Public Defenders' offices, and public interest organizations. Students receiving Vanderbilt law stipends are working for legal offices and organizations in 12 states, the District of Columbia, and in eight foreign nations.

“Vanderbilt Law students are working in a multitude of legal practices and in many areas of the world with support from stipends funded by the law school and by the Vanderbilt Legal Aid Society. Their experiences will enrich their careers, their legal education and the education of their fellow students as they bring their knowledge and understanding into the classroom,” said Sue Kay, Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs.
