Vanderbilt Law School’s newest alumni, the Class of 2013, marked Commencement on May 9 not only with diplomas and the traditional class portrait on the steps, but also with a champagne celebration and a few raindrops. Dean Chris Guthrie marked the graduation of 206 J.D. students and 37 foreign L.L.M. students. Eighteen graduates were honored with awards recognizing their scholastic achievements and professional and personal leadership. Angela Bergman received the 2013 Founder’s Medal, and Professor Edward Cheng was selected by the class to give the Commencement address.
