Jim Ely awarded 2006 Brigham-Kanner Property Rights Prize

Professor Jim Ely is the 2006 recipient of the Brigham-Kanner Property Rights Prize, which honors career contributions to scholarship relating to property rights and the constitutional protection of property.

Professor Ely, who is the third recipient of the annual prize, will be a featured speaker at the third annual Brigham-Kanner Property Rights Conference on October 6 and 7 at William & Mary Law School, which is presented by the William & Mary Property Rights Project and the Institute of Bill of Rights Law. A noted legal historian, Professor Ely holds the Milton R. Underwood Chair in Free Enterprise at Vanderbilt Law School and is also a professor of history at Vanderbilt University.
