Greta Higginbotham is a third-year student in the Ph.D. program in Law and Economics at Vanderbilt Law School with research interests in the intersection of criminal and constitutional law. As a third-year student, Greta is excited to join the Vanderbilt Law Review as a staff member and work as a Research Assistant for Professor Joni Hersch about topics such as prison education, gender and racial discrimination, and employment law more broadly.

Greta is originally from Tennessee and graduated in 2024 from the University of Florida honors program with degrees in Mathematics (B.S.) and Statistics (B.S.) and a minor in Economics.

In the spring of 2025, Greta won a national championship with Vanderbilt as a member of their women’s rowing team. Outside of her studies, Greta spends her time rowing, cooking, and spending time with her family.
