Meet Lacey:
Hi, my name is Lacey, and I am a 2L at Vanderbilt Law School. I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in transactional law when I took a Legal Aspects of Business course during my first year of undergrad, and after finishing my degree in Business Administration, I worked on enterprise risk management and corporate sustainability issues for two years in the law department of a Fortune 500 company. VLS has been such an incredible place to support my goal of being a corporate attorney.
Since starting at Vanderbilt Law, I have been actively involved in student organizations such as VLS Ambassadors, the Entertainment & Sports Law Society, and the Co-Counsel Program. Additionally, I am a member of two of the law school’s journals and am pursuing the Law & Business Certificate as part of my J.D. curriculum. I spent my 1L summer rotating through the transactional practice groups at King & Spalding in Atlanta, Georgia, and I will be returning my 2L summer.
Outside of class, you can usually catch me going to Pilates classes, watching wholesome baking shows, exploring restaurants and coffee shops in Nashville, and drinking copious amounts of tea.
I knew Vanderbilt Law was the right place for me once I visited campus and got to interact with the people that make this place so special. As a VLS student, I have access to faculty and staff members on the cutting edge of their fields, interact with some of the best and brightest students in the country, and participate in world-class academic programming and course offerings. I’m excited to help prospective students learn more about the truly unique environment here at Vanderbilt Law School and feel like VLS would be a great fit for their academic, professional, and personal goals.
