Lauryn Wedgeworth (she/her), a member of the VLS Class of 2025, is originally from Birmingham, Alabama, and earned her undergraduate degrees in History and Political Science from Howard University. She served as a camp counselor for the Children’s Defense Fund Freedom School and taught for Teach for America, teaching history with a focus on social justice. Her commitment to social justice is underscored by her particular interest in civil rights, voting rights, abolition, and housing.
