JD 2026

Connecting with the Vanderbilt community has been my favorite experience in law school, and I can’t wait to spend my final year as an Academic Fellow to share what I have learned on this exciting journey. My path to law school was not linear; I spent all of college at Tulane pursuing medical school. While very difficult at first, I engaged in some serious self-reflection and trusted myself to pivot. Finally, I ended up at Vanderbilt three years after graduating college and I could not be happier with this choice. While I did not follow a conventional path, my personal experiences were vital to finding my place in school and in the legal profession at large, and I hope my story will show others how much their unique stories matter.

The last two years have taught me so much about myself, and how truly important it is to enjoy the journey as much as you look forward to the destination. Law school is a challenge, but it is so much fun. As a Fellow, I hope to teach others how to take advantage of the opportunities, the laughs, the connections, and the lessons. Vanderbilt has given me so much and I can’t imagine a better way to say farewell than sharing these gifts with my classmates. We are so lucky to be here at our wonderful school, and I am thrilled to pay my experience forward to our community. I love being a teacher, but I also love being a friend, and I believe that captures the essence of Academic Fellowship. It’s going to be a great year!
