SFFA v. Harvard and SFFA v. UNC: Listen to the Supreme Court oral arguments with an introduction by education policy expert Matthew Shaw Nov. 1

Assistant Professor of Law Matthew Shaw, whose work focuses on education policy, will provide an introduction to a recording of the oral arguments in SFFA v. Harvard and SFFA v. UNC, two cases to be argued together before the Supreme Court on Oct. 31. The VLS community is invited to view a recording of the proceedings and discuss the arguments presented before the Court on Tuesday, Nov. 1, in the Moore Room.

In the cases, Students for Fair Admissions ask the Court to ban the consideration of race in college admissions, arguing that Harvard and UNC discriminate against Asian American applicants and violate federal law with their race-conscious admissions processes.

This event is co-sponsored by the VLS chapter of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and the George Barrett Social Justice Program.
