TaCara Harris, Class of 2013, has been awarded a $5,000 scholarship by Bradley Arant Boult Cummings. The award includes an offer of a clerkship with the firm in summer 2011.
“We look forward to welcoming TaCara to the firm for her clerkship this summer,” said Firm Chairman Beau Grenier. “In this time of transition for the legal profession, we feel it is more important than ever to ensure the broadest possible pool of talented young attorneys are able to finish their studies and begin their careers. We view diversity as a firm-wide priority, and expanding the scholarship program is just one of our initiatives.”
At the law school, Harris is a Lloyd M. Johnson Scholar, a Chancellor’s Scholar, and a first-year representative for the Vanderbilt Black Law Students Association. Harris earned her B.A. summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University before entering Vanderbilt Law School.
