Vanderbilt's team of students Antoine Birch '11, Tatiana Boza '11, Mark Hammervold '12, Talmadge Infinger '11 and Mariah Samost '12 won a Second Place Award for their brief submissions in the 2011 Midwest Super Region of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
Boza and Hammervold were recognized with Top Oralist Awards in the competition, held in Chicago February 10-13. This year's topic addressed the legality of the use of unmanned drones and international anti-corruption law.
Vanderbilt's Jessup Moot Court team is coached by Paul Ambrosius, adjunct professor of law, who is a member of Trauger & Tuke in Nashville.
The Jessup Competition is the world's largest moot court competition, with participants from more than 500 law schools in more than 80 countries.
