Vanderbilt Law Announces Enhancements to Universität Mannheim LL.M. Scholarship Award

The Vanderbilt LL.M. program has announced significant changes to the Universität Mannheim LL.M. Scholarship Award, offered in conjunction with the University of Mannheim. The scholarship amount has been increased to $50,000, to be offered to a minimum of two students who have received or will graduate with a degree in law from the University of Mannheim.

“The enhancement reflects the caliber of graduates from the University of Mannheim and our commitment to controlling the cost of education for our LL.M. students,” said Kelly-Ann Bahiraei, Assistant Dean for Legal Studies at Vanderbilt Law. “The Vanderbilt LL.M. program benefits tremendously from this partnership.”

“Our new partnership will be a strong link between the music metropolises of Nashville and Mannheim and a great advantage for students on both sides of the Atlantic,” said Professor Dr. Oliver Brand, International Director for the Mannheim Law School. “We will make sure on our end that our students become a valuable addition to the Vanderbilt campus, and we look forward to welcoming the ‘Dores to the Mannheim palace campus in the future.”

Scholarship recipients demonstrate a high level of academic achievement and / or professional experience in law. Recipients with high academic achievement and / or professional experience in corporate law may work in a research position.

Candidates for the scholarship should contact Professor Dr. Thomas Fetzer at Universität Mannheim for more information on the application and selection process; candidates must also apply through the standard Vanderbilt LL.M. application process.
