Vanderbilt in Venice provides you with the opportunity to split your summer, with an estimated 9 weeks remaining after the program ends and before fall 2L and 3L classes begin
Students can spend the second part of their summer in a variety of ways, including: working at a law firm; doing public interest work; interning for a judge, a government agency, or a non-profit or international organization; or providing research assistance to a faculty member.
Students interested in leveraging their experience in Venice to secure an internship with an international dimension are encouraged to reach out to Professor Michael Newton, director of the International Legal Studies Program, for guidance. Please see below for a sampling of internships that Professor Newton has helped students secure.
